We believe in being straightforward. That's why we have a Privacy Policy that tells you exactly how we use any data you give us.

When you register at TheRateTart, we ask for the following details:

1. Email address
2. Member name
3. Password
4. Security question answer

If you are a registered user who is logged in and applies for a product, TheRateTart will also store product details for any products you have applied for when you click on the “Apply” button. The information stored will be identical to the product information you see within the comparison tables, plus the date and time of the click. We do this for the sole reason that it will be easier for you to set up an alert for that product. We never share the information about what you bought or when you bought it with any other company.Insert "You can delete this information from your profile and from our database at any time by navigating to the 'My RateTart Products' section of the site and clicking delete.

Our Privacy Rules:

1. We will never share your personal information without your permission
2. We will never pass on any of your contact details to third parties
3. We will allow registered users complete and full access to the information stored against their account
4. Any deletion of information will be permanent

At the discretion of TheRateTart, we may periodically produce reports using aggregated information regarding user trends on TheRateTart website. There will be NO information within these reports that could be used to identify individual users.

Please note, secure data such as credit card numbers, PIN numbers or passwords are never entered or stored on TheRateTart website. We will never request this information from you, or store it against your account. Neither will we ever contact you and ask for this information.

The information we collect:

PERSONAL INFORMATION

This is the information requested during the registration process. Also, when a Registered and Logged In user clicks an "Apply" button, we collect product information only for the product that has been applied for. We do this for the sole reason that it will be easier for you to set up an alert for that product.


DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION

We keep track of the domains from which people visit our Web site, as well as geographical location. We analyse this data for trends and statistics. This information is analysed at an aggregate level, and no individual user is personally identifiable.

STATISTICAL BROWSER INFORMATION

We collect statistical data on the users of our web site, including:
1) Referral URL - This is the page that linked you to our Web site (if any)
2) Browser software identification. This provides the brand and version of the browser software used by the user while viewing our Web site. This helps us to tailor the site for our users
